Blogs

I maintain a number of blogs for different purposes–including for personal reflection, as virtual, interactive handouts, and as a way of fulfilling course assignments.

A Plethora of Projects & Practical Pursuits - I use this blog for professional purposes.

Cherice’s Pieces - A personal blog on which I post a little bit of everything–personal reflections, photography, poetry, and pseudo-scholarly musings. I update this blog most often.

Convergence - Posts address the embodied nature of knowing, contemplative practice, and the relationship between identity and learning and were drafted in response to course assignments.

Dis-continuities - A blog I created as a “self-determined writing assignment” for a doctoral course on disciplinary and epistemological issues in teaching and learning. The first post (at the very end of the page) is my favorite.

Making Meaning Through Multiple Literacies - This is intended to be a collaborative blog. It is empty at present, but I plan to use it to facilitate discussion and reflection about the implications emerging technologies have for what it means to be literate in some workshops I’m giving soon.

Research & Ruminations - A space and a place for thinking about the ways in which art, education, emerging technologies, and experience intersect with qualitative research.

Teens ‘N Tech - I created this blog to support a technology workshop I developed for foreign language teachers, as well as to demonstrate the affordances and constraints of using different technologies to accomplish the same purpose (Teens ‘N Tech Blog, Teens ‘N Tech Protopage, Teens ‘N Tech Wiki). I don’t keep the blog updated, but I do continually update the Protopage and the wiki.
